Hydro Systems Introduces Improved Chemilizer Injector

CINCINNATI – Jan. 30, 2018 – Hydro Systems, the world’s largest independent manufacturer of proportioning and dispensing systems, today introduced improvements to its Chemilizer, an industry-leading proportional liquid chemical injector. Now, brass bushing inserts are molded into the body of the Chemilizer, eliminating the need for nuts and allowing for easier and faster maintenance. Changes to the piston guide also allow for Hydro’s Adjustable Ratio Pump to be retrofitted to the Chemilizer and used at 5 percent dilution, as well as other dilutions. With a simple twist of the setting ring, users can adjust the injection rate for injecting medications, vaccinations and nutrients, or cleaning system lines.

“With this new design, dismantling the body of the Chemilizer to access interior parts no longer requires multiple tools. Plus, users don’t have to worry about the needle-in-the-haystack scenario if nuts fall off while screws are being removed,” said Scott Campbell, Global Product Manager, Hydro Systems. “We’ve also closed the gap for customers that require 5 percent dilution for injections as chicks mature through the poultry growth cycle.”

The Chemilizer is an industry-leading chemical injector and the first pump that utilizes diaphragm technology. Powered by the existing water supply, the internal motor drives the chemical pump, injecting very precise amounts of chemical regardless of fluctuation in water pressure or flow. The unique by-pass chemical injection design of the Chemilizer protects the motor from corrosion, unlike most medicators which expose their motors to damaging and corrosive chemicals. This makes the product the most durable motor in the animal production industry market, ideal for animal health and horticulture applications.
